I am a simple guy. I love the Lord, my wife, my kids, my family, and my church. One of my favorite hobbies is writing songs. My dad drove a truck, and my mama fixed hair at her beauty shop (I know that probably has the makings of a country song already). We lived in rural Bullock, NC (still do), a place I love with all my heart.

Driving a truck was a lonely time for my dad, so he spent those hours praying and listening to music. Because of that, we always had tapes lying around the house and in every vehicle. I really cut my teeth on storytellers like Tom T. Hall, John Prine, and Dolly Parton. Somewhere along the way, the Lord gave me the ability to string words together in a way that might make people think and feel something. I’ve always loved how a song can stir emotion, so I started putting those words together and “writing songs.”

My wife, Lynn, is an incredible singer and has been encouraging me for a long time to share my music. She’s the one who put this webpage together, and we truly hope that anyone who listens can take something meaningful away from it.

About eight years ago, I finally answered the call to preach, and I’ve been serving as the pastor of Delrayno Church in Oxford, North Carolina, for the past six years. More than anything, I want to share the good news of Jesus Christ with as many people as will listen. While not all of my songs are strictly faith-based, that message is always at the forefront of my heart and the purpose of my life.

I’m a simple man, and that’s truly who I am.
